We cannot manage our own health if we do not have the faith to do so, and depending on what we have faith in will determine the outcome.
We all worship something, because God created us to worship Him, and we will, unless we are in rebellion, then we will find something else to
worship, such as, our possessions, money, a celebrity, government, pharmaceuticals, doctors, the universe, mother earth, science (knowledge),
food or ourselves, the list is endless if we choose to ignore the one true God and bow to idols.  Who or what we have faith in can contribute to
good health or detract from it.  We can be religious, but exercise no faith, we can say we believe in God, but believing alone does not give us
the power that comes from trusting in Him.  After all, even the devil believes in God!

We can provide what our bodies need for good health, but that alone does not heal us, God heals us and to be exact, the great physician,
"Jesus Christ" is the doctor I entrust my health too.   My creator gave me this body so I trust Him over any human to know what is best suited to
it for the best health possible.  I go to Him first when I'm sick and let Him guide me to what my body needs to heal and yes, sometimes that is
seeking the attention of a medical doctor, but it doesn't mean turning it into a lifestyle or putting the doctors and their care above Christ, and
more times than not it means making corrections in some poor habits.

"You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother's womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!  Your
workmanship is marvelous—and how well I know it" (Psalm 139:13–14 NLT
or from my preferred translation, the  KJV:

13. "For thou hast possessed my reins, thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.  14. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully
and wonderfully made; marvelous
are they works; and that my soul knoweth right well."

God gives us what we need to sustain our health but we choose to ignore it and go our own way because the flesh is weak and temptation is
everywhere.  We are rebellious by nature, its called, "sin."  Yep.. I said it, sin, that politically incorrect word that has been banned from public
speaking.

Our bodies are physical, mental and emotional.  Our bodies can be healthy but they won't stay that way for long if we are mentally or
emotionally not well.  God created us in His image to fellowship with Him, He sent His son to pay the debt for us that we could not pay.  It's free
to all, but the difficult part is accepting it.  In our arrogance we believe we don't need it, we don't want it or the devil tells us we are unworthy and
cannot receive it.   Wisdom comes from above and is given freely to all that seek it. Below are passages from Proverbs 2:
My Life verse:
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thy own understanding, but in all thy ways acknowledge Him and He will direct thy path."   Proverbs 3: 5-6

I can testify that having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is the difference.  I've walked in faith all my life from a little child.  I was not raised in a godly home nor
did I attend church for much of my life.  How I came to know of Jesus I do not recall all I know is I always depended on Him.  I'm not saying I always served Him
because I did not, but He was always there with me waiting to pick up the pieces every time I made a mess of things and in the earlier years that was often.  Jesus
was the great healer that restored my health and mobility after car crashes that could have killed me or left me an invalid for life.  My faith in Jesus was greater than
satan's numerous attacks on my life attempting to destroy me, praise God!  ~

"A part from Christ I can do nothing , but in Christ I can do all things."
ANGER:

We are driven by emotions and emotions out of control can destroy us.  I wish I could remember who said this, perhaps the author was
unknown but it is profound,

"anger is like taking poison and expecting the other person to die."

Anger will keep us from forgiving others, but we are commanded to forgive, as Christ first forgave us. It's not an option.  I do know when I make
the obedient choice to forgive, a weight is lifted from my shoulders. Anger is
a driving force in our lives and often we don't even realize it because the roots can run so deep for so long.   The bible speaks of forgiveness,
it is forgiveness that keeps our heart softened and is good for our health.

" And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
(Philippians 4:7)

The added benefit is how it affects the person that is being forgiven, it will either restore the relationship if they are worthy, or it will heap hot
coals upon their head.  God is a just God!

There is a wonderful peace that abounds when you are washed clean from your sin.  Talk about "instant weight loss." <smile>  The moment
you receive Christ as your personal Savior you become a new creation and it is the first step you take to living a functional joyful life.  You have
a purpose and you understand that purpose with a clarity unimaginable.  The emotions become stable and their is a calmness on the soul that
can not be put into mere words.

When God looks at you He no longer sees a wretched sinner but He sees His child that has been returned to Him by the blood of Christ.  Most
of us have had wayward children or know of those that have...what a joy it is when that child returns home and sets aside the rebellion that
severed the relationship.  Submission is a wonderful attitude, humility conquers, and truth will reign for all eternity.

I could not imagine walking through this life without faith in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  He is the foundation that keeps me upright in the
middle of a crisis.  He is my first responder and is only a thought, prayer or need away.   What a sense of security this adds to these uncertain
times.
"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth,
where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in
and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in
heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where
thieves do not break in and steal.
Matthew  6: 19-20
Loss can be devastating, the loss of a loved one can paralyze us.  Again, those that do not have eternal life have no hope. I have the hope and joy of knowing that
when I am separated from my loved ones it is temporary because we will be reunited for all eternity so, I miss them, but they have just gone home before me and will
greet me when Christ returns, and He is coming back!  Death has no hold on me, it is gain because in death I live.  The sorrow I do hold is for the lost, for those still
lost in their sin, wandering aimlessly searching for self-worth but not finding it because they are looking in all the wrong places, trusting this world to fulfill an empty
soul, that can only be fulfilled by the love of God.  This doesn't have to be, God is standing by and waiting.  Jesus said, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock,"   all we
have to do is open that door (our heart).

This is the model prayer that Jesus gave us to teach us how to pray:
The Lord's Prayer

Our Father, which art in Heaven,
Hallowed be thy name,
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day, our daily bread
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors,
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil
For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen
Matthew 6: 9-13
LOVE

Health is a wonderful gift because without it we have nothing, nothing means anything.  You can have all the world has to offer but if you haven't got health it is null and
void.  True health is from within, a condition of the heart. Love heals and nourishes the soul.  Love can cover a multitude of sins.  Here is the biblical definition of love,
replace charity with the word love:
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am
become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge;
and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am
nothing.

And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be
burned, and have not charity, it profited me nothing.

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not
puffed up,

Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no
evil;

Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

1 Corinthians 13
GOLDEN RULE:  "Treat people the way you would like to be treated, even if they don't deserve it or do not do the same for you"

Happiness comes from within, not from others, if we expect others to make us happy we will be unhappy much of the time.

There is another opinion on the age of the earth and it is based on a theory. Science
today is proving there had to be an intelligent designer; that life did not happen by
chance or evolve.  I go beyond what science tells us to the
"creator of science itself."    It
is NOT possible for science to prove there isn't a creator, it is only possible for man's
rebellious nature to misinterpret it for his own motive.
LOSS

Just coming out of the winter of 2002,  my house burned to the ground.  A complete and total loss.  It was devastating to return home to find "nothing but smoking
ashes."  All that was standing was the stone fireplace.  Years of photographs, home video's, journal's, etc, all gone!  Matthew 6:19-20
(below) is what sustained me.
Fortunately this was the scripture I already used to help me not to be a "pack-rat" and it worked, so I didn't lose "clutter", I lost all the most important treasures, or so I
thought.  There is a sadness that comes when I think of all the video footage  of my son's early years, but it is quickly replaced with the joy of knowing that the most
important treasure of all can never be lost, "eternal life."
The enemy cannot snatch away that which God has sealed unto the end, and the final days are rapidly approaching, watch, but most of all be prepared!
My son, if you receive my words,
And treasure my commands within you,
So that you incline your ear to wisdom,
And apply your heart to understanding;
Yes, if you cry out for discernment,
And lift up your voice for understanding,
If you seek her as silver,
And search for her as for hidden treasures;
Then you will understand the fear of the LORD,
And find the knowledge of God.
For the LORD gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding;
He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
He is a shield to those who walk uprightly;
He guards the paths of justice,
And preserves the way of His saints.
Then you will understand righteousness and justice,
Equity and every good path.
When wisdom enters your heart,
And knowledge is pleasant to your soul,
Discretion will preserve you;
Understanding will keep you,
To deliver you from the way of evil,
From the man who speaks perverse things,
On a final note I will close this page with Hosea 4:6:

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge"

Worldly knowledge without the presence of the one true God,  "Jesus Christ",  rapidly leads to corruption and depravity.
